Are you a busy two income couple who recently had a child or purchased a home? Well you have probably heard that you should have a will and a living trust as well as certain other documents. But if you’re like most people you put it off as long as you can because you are busy with work, kids, commuting, housework, etceteras. Is it hard to time during the day when both you and your spouse can meet with a wills and trusts attorney?
Or perhaps you have trouble getting around and or can't walk without discomfort?
Well now you have no more excuses because I will meet with you and your spouse/partner in your home during the day or evening at no extra-charge.
I will visit you and your partner in the relaxed atmosphere of your own home at a time convenient to both of you, including weekends. We can discuss various options to minimize probate fees, minimize estate taxes, and ensure that your loved ones are provided for. I offer this is in-home-service free of charge as a convenience to my clients.
How does it work?
First, you contact my offices
Next, I send you a client questionnaire and retainer agreement. You set an appointment to meet with you and your spouse for a week in advance. You fill out the questionnaire and return it to my offices via postal or electronic mail, or facsimile.
At the initial meeting we discuss your various options and pros and cons of these options. We also set an appointment for execution or for when your documents will be ready for you to execute on your own. Be advised that if you choose to execute them yourselves you will be required to provide a notary for some of the documents.
Next we send you final drafts of all your documents via postal or electronic mail, or fax machine.You review the documents and approve them or request amendments. In any case you will have to approve your documents for name spellings and the like.
Then, we execute the documents at the appropriate time. We typically provide notaries and oversee execution to ensure that there are no problems. You retain the original documents. If you purchase the package you will receive an Engraved Binder with all your documents separated by printed tabs, complete with instructions for your executor and or trustee.
You also receive a detailed guide on how to transfer all your assets into the revocable trust.
Finally, after the documents are executed you will receive a closing letter from our office.
Thats it, your done. And you never had to make a daytime appointment or leave the comfort of your house.
