The event is titled "How to Outsmart Investment Fraud Strategies for Older Consumers."
The
event will take place Saturday October 3, 2009, 10 a.m. to Noon, at the
Roxbury Park Center, Room 101, 471 South Roxbury Dr. ( where it meets
Olympic, Blvd.) in Beverly Hills.
During this free event, Retired Fraud Investigator, Kathryn J.Holguin will talk about why people
fall prey to investment frauds; common tactics used by concriminals; and give you tips and
resources to protect yourself from investment frauds.
Ms.
Holguin spent thirty years as a fraud investigator with the California
Department of Corporations, works part time as an investigator with the
Office of the California Attorney
General and is on the Board of Directors of the National Telemarketing Victim Call Center
(NTVCC).
The NTVCC is a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization that provides education
and prevention services to consumers who have been victimized or are at
risk of being victimized by mass marketing frauds.
